This is not normal and definitely no coincidence
Let’s normalize something here.
Strong performance does not disappear overnight.
If your results, work ethic, and impact were solid before, and suddenly everything about you is framed as wrong, this is not a performance issue. This is a context issue.
Toxic environments distort reality.
The goal is often not your growth, but control.
And once control becomes the goal, your competence can become a threat.
That’s when the narrative shifts.
The energetic game behind workplace power dynamics
Every workplace runs on visible strategy and invisible energy.
On the surface, it looks like feedback, KPIs, and performance reviews.
Underneath, it’s about positioning, insecurity, control, and power.
When you don’t see the game, you get played by it.
Not because you’re naive.
But because you’re focused on doing good work in a system that’s playing politics.
At higher levels, politics are inevitable.
If you don’t play the game consciously, the game plays you unconsciously.
This is not about becoming manipulative.
It’s about becoming aware.
And if you’re ready to rebuild your self-trust, feel calmer and steadier, and intentionally create your next career step, you can learn more about The Toxic Boss Reset HERE.
